Unnat Bharat Abhiyan a flagship programme of MHRD, Govt of India, Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College: Power Generation for Home Appliances using Solar Panel (Tribal Village)

Under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan a flagship programme of MHRD, Govt of India, Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College selected keelpathy as one of the village to conduct survey and identified the problem of the people  where they don’t have electricity facility in their houses. It is very difficult for their children to learn and families to live. So team members of the project planned to implement project titles “Power Generation for Home Appliances using Solar Panel (Tribal Village) in the Keelpathy village under the development and customization of technology with the help of our proud alumini Mr.P.Amarnath, Director, Tamilnadu Energy Solutions (P) Ltd, Coimbatore.

               The setup of solar light consists of 1KW solar panel with solar battery of 100Ah and 2KW solar offgrid inverter for 14 houses in the village. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan sanctioned Rs.50,000 and remaining amount Rs.13,000 sanctioned by our college.

               After installation, Our Principal Dr.N.R.Alamelu inaugurated inscription for the project on 23.07.2021 at 3pm along with project team members of  Dr.M.Senthamil Selvi, UBA Coordinator, Dr.M.Jagadeeswari, Head of ECE Department, Dr.R.Kesavasamy , NSS Chairman, Mr.B.Mariappan, NSS Program officer, Dr.K.B.Gurumoorthy and Mr.R.Chandru, Project Co-ordinators. Mr.R.Swathinathan, Head Master, 24 Veerapandi School supported in implementing the project. The people of village where happy about lighting facilities in which they get relived from darkness.
