Journal Section

The Journals currently subscribed and journals received as gift are displayed in the shelves in this section, Faculty Ph.D Thesis Copies, Book and Book Chapters contains Book,News Papers, Popular magazines and Newsletter are also available for reading

Stack Room

This is the most important section of the library. Its function is the display and maintenance of books that are issued on loan. The Whole section is arranged in three floors. Members have the facility of free browsing of books in the racks (open access) to most of the collection available in this section

Books are arranged on the shelves according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. Each Book is assigned a Class Number and Book Number. Class Number is assigned to a book according to its subject and Book Number individualizes a book among others having the Class Number in this arrangement books on the same subject are kept together. Members are advised to check the availability of the books through the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) Service //172.16.0.5/OPAC. After obtaining relevant information through OPAC. The users can proceed to the respective stack area to take the books of the choice.

Reference Section

The Library has a good reference collection consisting of various encyclopedias, dictionaries, year books, Referral Textbooks etc. Sufficient reading tables and chairs are provided to the members

Book Bank

A journal on completion its volume will be processed for binding. After the binding is over, back volume will be accessioned and added to the Back-Volume shelf. Necessary reading tables and chairs are provided for reading and reference

Back Volumes

Digital Library

Our College Digital Library is functioning in total area of 92.43 sqm with 30 computers, one resource sharing, NPTEL Server and canon inkjet printer.

Digital Library holding 3851 Book CDs, 227 Project CDs of Students, 45 Question paper CDS kept in a Separate Rack

Reprographic

Students can make photocopies of any documents on payment basis Rs. 1 per copy and on Sunday 0.75 paisa per Copy

Library Automation

The Integrated Library Management Software includes the Cataloguing Module, Circulation Management, Serial Control Module, Acquisition Module, and Report Management.

International OPAC – Allows individual users to access and retrieve library resources and information.

Android Library Mobile App – Enables individual users to access library details Conveniently through the mobile application.

This software has all operational modules such as transaction, query, administration, reporting etc

Computer infrastructure

OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) has been created and 3 terminals are provided to facilitate access. It is also made available via LAN in the campus. 3 Terminals for Circulation and one terminal each available for Journal and Reference.
