Electric vehicles have been seen as
a promising technology option and several nations are implementing policies to
promote EV technology. Our country is aspiring to have at least 30% of private automobiles
as EVs by 2030. While EVs are being promoted on a large scale through
a variety of appealing schemes and policies, there are few challenges impeding
the success of these campaigns. The most prominently reported challenges are
low mileage of the vehicles, higher costs, lack of service centers, unawareness
about maintenance and servicing, unclear policies, supply chain problems, and
insufficient charging stations. The seminar will provide an opportunity for the
participants to discuss on various advancements, challenges and opportunities
in Electric vehicles.
